I received my letter of admission last week. Except one week for National Day vacation 29/9-7/10,
there are no scheduled holidays. The last week of instruction will be during the first 10 days of
January.

I am still waiting to hear if I am going to Beida or one of my other choices... hope to hear in
the next few days...

No e-mail, even though they told me they would send one. I got it by post, but then I had an
aquaintance in Beijing pick it up for me and send it to me herself, so may take a while longer for
Beida to send them out.

beida was too cheap to send mine out, made my guarantor in beijing go pick it up from the office.

off the topic, where are you guys planning on staying ?

Finally got mine! Not entirely sure where I'm going to stay, I'll probably go to beijing a week
before registration to flat hunt. I guess around wudaokou as I don't really want to commute too
far.
Currently trying to work out which (western) airline has the highest baggage allowance - anyone
know?
Where are you guys all coming from?

Hi guys,

I'm in as well. No idea where I'll be staying yet, but I'm planning on going in August to sort it
out and get my bearings.

Will everyone be there just for the semester or for a whole year?

im there for the semester, they say i could prolong the stay if wished though so ill see how i go.
I think im going with homestay.. I was all set to stay in foreign students dorm, then they sent me
the form saying there wasn't enough room and I'm a bit iffy about renting an apartment short term.

I have heard that our forms etc are on their way and should arrive early this week. Not sure where
I will be staying at the minute, but I understand there will be a place in the dorms for me but I
may also look at renting a flat for the year... I will be there for a year (minus a few weeks over
Christmas as I have to return home to the family)...
