Defeat liars

Comment on "Trade barriers used as excuse for protectionism" (China
Daily, September 12)

China must improve itself to become strong and advanced. China must admit
its flaws, fix them, and become greater than before.

However, China must not allow foreigners to lie about the country. It
must work hard to defeat liars who try to taint China's image.

Arguable poll

Comment on "Nations' rich have poor reputation" (China Daily, September
12)

In the opinion of many Chinese people the rich are always immoral and
their wealth gained through illegal means.

Can this be true?

The poll is lame. Every normal person in the world hopes to be wealthy or
at least comfortable in life.

Reason for inflation

Comment on "Consumer inflation jumps to 11-year high" (China Daily
website, September 12)

It seems that no one has a clue why inflation is so high in China.

I blame it on the massive amount of foreign money coming in from abroad.
If you sell things to other countries, what you get is more money. With
more money, you get an increasing inflation. The government should raise
people's wages. This will encourage Chinese people to buy more of their
own goods.

Food prices are going up and producers should be benefiting, but in fact
they are not. Who is really benefiting? The monopolies.

So we can see how important an anti-monopoly law is for every one of us
especially the poor.

Put love first

Comment on "Survey: Job important, but rich husband will do nicely"
(China Daily, September 11)

Women always want to marry a rich handsome man with a house and a car.
Forget it. Look for a man who really loves you.
